Mystic Adventure

This body of work explores the playfulness of plant oils, water and light. It was created along the edge of my local lake. I noticed this area of colorful oils as I was enjoying the morning calm and a snack. I took a closer look and was intrigued by the intricate and colorful small scene I had stumbled upon. The area of oils was no larger than two square feet but there were a variety of small scenes ranging from whimsical line work to large areas of color shifting tones. I spent a few hours over two consecutive mornings enjoying my exploration of this hidden scene. I had come back for a third visit but when I arrived I had noticed the oils were no longer there. Upon each visit, I still take a slight detour to this area to see if the oils have gathered once again. Although they never have, I am glad I had a few quiet moments to experience it. Below are the mementos from those two wonderful mornings.
