A Visit to the Central Coast
Kat and I took a quick road trip north to the central coast for some quiet time. We love drives along the coast. There are so many beaches and personally meaningful locations all along the drive. We took our time and soaked it all in. A common topic that comes up on our road trips is “What if we move out of southern California?” As much as we enjoy toying with the idea of living in some of the amazing places we’ve visited, the answer always ends up as no. We are so spoiled to have both the mountains and the beaches in close striking distance. It’s not uncommon for us to be in the mountains for sunrise and the beach for sunset. Couple that with enchanting forests, a beautiful coastline and great weather for majority of the year it'‘s hard to leave. Let’s not forget the amazing variety of food, culture and people.
This wan’t our first visit to Pismo Beach. Differently from past trips, we wanted to spend more time enjoying the local restaurants, coffee shops and beaches. We wanted to spend more quiet time on the beach, reading and writing.
I did bring the Bronica and a few rolls of film on this trip. I had a great time exploring the little area we were staying at. All of my photos were made steps from our room.
We had a blast that weekend. I hope to bring us back there again to enjoy the beach and our little swinging chair. Below are some images from the film camera.
Hope all is well. Thanks for reading. - Marco
